Our History

Over 40 years ago Dr. Loren Cunningham, Founder of Youth With a Mission, having witnessed a devastating storm that swept throughout the Caribbean, spoke out for the need for a ship to serve the nations in times of crisis. Since that time, YWAM has and continues to operate dozens of ships and small vessels of varying sizes and types around the world. Each vessel carries a message of love and hope to the poorer, more isolated coastal and island communities through the hundreds of volunteers who serve on board. The following ships represent the larger vessels the ministry has and continues to operate today.
