God has given us one of the most beautiful places in the world. Set in the emerald green hills of New Zealand, and just a short drive away from the beaches and bustle of Tauranga City, the Marine Reach Training Centre is sure to make you feel at home away from home.
Our Training Centre
Completed in 2010, the Marine Reach Training Centre was the fulfilment of a 20 year vision given by God to the Founders of Marine Reach, David and Linda Cowie. The vision of The Centre (as it’s affectionately called) was to have a place where young people could gather from all over the world to be discipled and trained in different aspects of ministry and international missions. But The Centre is also a place where new initiatives and ministries can be pioneered in order to reach the nations with the love of Jesus.
Our Waterfall and Valley
On our property you can enjoy swimming in our natural 30ft waterfall and refreshing river. The property is big (24 acres) which means you can find your own little place to meet with God and encounter Him. We are serious about going deeper with God, serious about His mission, and serious about taking time to enjoy the amazing surroundings He has blessed us with!
Mount Maunganui Beach
Enjoy our city with it’s white sand beaches and buzzing downtown scene. Mount Maunganui (pictured above) is our main beach. Take a swim, learn to surf, go shopping down the main street, walk around the Mount, or even hike to the top of Mount Maunganui for amazing 360 degree views of the city of Tauranga!
Our Chapel
Prayer has been an integral part of the Marine Reach journey, and you’ll find our prayer chapel just a couple of minutes walk from The Centre. In addition to this you can explore our 24-acre property with it’s own prayer-walk, where you can pray through the nations! God meets with us in the place of prayer; what better place to do that than on land that has been dedicated and set apart for that specific purpose!
Our Sports Field
Volleyball anyone? Come join us on our sports field and let loose in a game of your choice: volleyball, ultimate frisbee, soccer, rugby, or even kick off a game of spike ball! Our sports field is waiting for you to get in the game. Take in views across the surrounding hills and valleys… just keep your eye on the ball!
Our Dining Room
The Centre was designed so that you would feel at home, where our large kitchen and dining room combine with our lounge and fireplace to create a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. It’s a place of hospitality and serving others. From enjoying our daily meals to celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, Thanksgivings and Christmases, the dining room is the hub for the Marine Reach family. Whether you join us short or long term, get ready to see God work in your life and in the lives of others, and come and bring your skills and talents to the Marine Reach table.
Our Lecture Room
Get ready to encounter God! The Lecture Room is where radical transformation begins to take shape. It’s here that you’ll learn from our local and international speakers who share from their own journey about discovering God’s true character and nature. This is also the home of powerful times of worship and intercession.
